RegularThe Role: As a Principal Security Consultant at LRQA, you
will be integral to delivering a range of security engagements,
including penetration tests, PCI assessments, Cyber Essentials
certifications, and CHECK evaluations.Key Responsibilities:
- Security Engagements: Conduct penetration testing and related
activities such as Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, PCI
DSS-ASV scans, and CHECK evaluations.
- Client Interaction: Manage the entire lifecycle of security
engagements, from kick-off calls to testing, reporting, and
debriefs.
- Reporting: Produce high-quality, thorough reports that
demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain professional,
consultative client relationships. Support presales efforts as
needed.
- Mentorship: Mentor Security Consultants as needed. Provide
insight into team and process improvement.
- Project Leadership: Lead projects for multiple strategic
clients. Assist with development of service lines, ensuring LRQA
remains at the cutting edge of technology and methodology.
- Technical Analysis: Provide technical analysis of current IT
security events, particularly for media coverage when requested.
Specialize in a key technical area and perform research and present
regularly.Required Skills and Experience:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills in IT security,
with experience in application, infrastructure, cloud (Azure or
AWS), mobile (Android and iOS), social engineering engagements.
Strong technical skills in source code review, IoT, SDLC, vessel,
and/or blockchain engagements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken English
skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to executive
audiences.
- Team and Individual Work: Ability to work independently and as
part of a high-performing team. Able to lead, teach, present, and
inspire the wider team.
- Certifications: CREST CCSAM, CCSAS, OSCE3, or equivalent IT
security certification.
- Experience: At least 4 years of relevant IT security industry
