Job Description Summary: This position is driving PTC’s insights
generation through the analysis of primary and secondary data for
inline products and the pipeline to support decision support,
business planning. As a member of the Business Insight and
Analytics Department, partners with other functions to deliver
actionable insight in support of Pipeline planning, launch
preparation, geographic expansion
This position is responsible for delivering information to
enable business leaders and other stakeholders to make high
quality, evidence-based decisions. This includes leveraging data to
provide visibility and actionable insights into business
performance. Using analytics from primary and secondary data to
evaluate market size, understand customer behavior, develop patient
flow and journey etc.
Member of a small team of experienced professionals dedicated to
Business Insights and Analytics
This position works cross-functionally with several internal
departments including but not limited to Global marketing, Sales
Leadership, Pricing & Market Access, Program Management, Finance,
Regulatory, Clinical, and Medical Affairs . Job Description: Lead
the generation of business insights from market research and
analysis of various data sources within PTC to support in-line and
future products/indication as well as market expansion
Support the Global Brand Planning process in conjunction with
the global brand teams.
Support the Lifecycle planning in conjunction with the LCM
Provide analytical adhoc support. Support marketing and sales
efforts quantitatively through data mining to reveal trends and by
answering key business questions.
Keep abreast of emerging industry data sources and techniques
that could improve future analysis.
Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by
Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or
Must be able to maximize various data sources data and
communicate its results and application
Must be able to support brand leaders, sales, market access and
other functions with data generation, data analytics
Demonstrated experience in the conception, development and
execution of marketing analytics projects and tactics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication and skills including
the ability to create and deliver clear and impactful presentations
and the ability to communicate complex technical information
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required,
in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal
and external team members.
Analytical thinker with excellent problem solving skills and the
ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
including the ability to support and prioritize multiple
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing,
coaching and mentoring direct reports.
Ability to influence key stakeholders without direct
Special knowledge or skills and/or licenses or certificates
Experience supporting an orphan, rare disease and/or specialized
Experience working in a small but fast growing entrepreneurial
May require up to 20% travel domestic and international.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in degree in
analytics, finance, marketing or science; advanced degree
Requires a minimum of 8 years of progressive, relevant business
analytics experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company or
Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market with exposure
to multiple therapy areas, ideally including orphan drug
