Job Description:
The Director of IT Engineering is responsible for defining and
implementing Regenerons enterprise cloud strategy and frameworks.
This role combines strategic vision with technical expertise to
deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that
are crucial to supporting Regenerons drug discovery efforts. In
addition to strategic responsibilities, this role requires strong
architectural expertise and technical leadership to develop
reusable enterprise frameworks and automation solutions ensuring
compliance with stringent standards in a highly regulated GxP
environment, while driving innovation and operational excellence.
This position will be on-site 4 days/week at our offices in Warren,
NJ or Sleepy Hollow, NY. This is not eligible for remote or hybrid
positions and if eligible, we are able to offer relocation
benefits. As a Director of IT Engineering, a typical day might
include the following: Manage service providers to ensure
high-quality service delivery and alignment to service level
agreements (SLAs) and act as the escalation point for major
incidents. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and
standards, including GxP, FDA and other global regulatory
requirements. Maintain robust security measures to protect IT/OT
infrastructure, including data integrity and disaster recovery
planning. Manage Cloud DevOps teams by tracking performance,
addressing incidents, and ensuring disaster recovery plans are in
place and functional. Collaborate with stakeholders for cloud
solutions, migration, and optimization efforts. Manage the design
and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud
architectures tailored to business needs. Analyze and monitor cloud
usage, costs, and performance metrics while ensuring robust
security and data privacy measures are integrated across all
operations. Provide expertise on advanced cloud-native
methodologies, such as microservices, containers, and serverless
computing, to guide team initiatives. Implement and oversee cost
management strategies, including resource optimization and
leveraging reserved instances, to minimize cloud expenses. Maintain
and strengthen relationships with cloud service providers (AWS,
Azure, Google Cloud) and third-party vendors, negotiating contracts
and SLAs to maximize value. Design and maintain disaster recovery
and business continuity plans specifically tailored for cloud
environments. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
to measure the success and effectiveness of cloud initiatives.
Participate in executive leadership meetings to provide updates on
the progress, challenges, and outcomes of cloud strategies. This
role may be for you if you have: Significant management and
delivery experience, including leading Cloud Engineering and DevOps
Teams. Experience in managing vendors and managed services.
Extensive experience as a Cloud Architect specializing in AWS and
Google Cloud Services. Skilled in Business Continuity and Disaster
Recovery planning using Multi-Cloud and Multi-Region strategies.
Strong background in creating automation solutions to enhance
operational efficiency. Deep understanding of Secure Software
Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Observability frameworks.
Experience in Successful large-scale cloud migrations and
modernization projects leveraging containers. In order to be
considered for this position, you must hold a masters degree in
information technology or computer science with progressive
responsible experience, including 10 years of managing Cloud
DevOps/Engineering teams and a minimum of 8 years experience as
Software Developer and 3 years experience in a highly regulated

- $300,700.00
