Job Description:
Modis is in need of a talented Full time VP of Engineering
for one of their valued clients!
SKILLS: 12+ years’ experience in application development with a
strong focus on e-commerce, consumer internet and mobile product
development. Must possess strong business analysis/system
design skills and have demonstrated strong project management
expertise. Recent hands on application, mobile and database
development experience required. Experience in a variety of
development environments including; LAMP, Java, JavaScript, Ruby,
PHP, CSS, HTML, DHTML, Python / Django, Phonegap, HTML 5, Jquery,
etc. required. Must have experience implementing a Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA) which relies exclusively on Web Service
calls to manage business processes.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated technical
leader to join an exciting start-up business.
We are seeking a Vice President, Engineering to assume the role of
senior technical resource as we build our products and platforms.
The VP will lead the analysis, design, development and deployment
of all mobile and back-office applications. The role consists of
three key functions and the successful candidate will have a
combination of the following skills: 1) the ability to design,
develop (hands on coding required) and deploy software products and
mission critical customer facing applications 2) the ability to
evaluate new requirements and create functional and technical
specifications, 3) the ability to successfully lead and manage a
team of 10-15 engineers/analysts, plus outside contractors when
required
