AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday Job Summary The Telemetry Technician
provides advanced ECG monitoring and plays a critical role in
patient safety through continuous cardiac rhythm surveillance. This
role involves accurate ECG strip analysis, arrhythmia
interpretation, and prompt identification and response to
potentially life-threatening rhythm changes. Responsibilities
include initiating emergency codes when necessary, documenting
rhythms during codes, troubleshooting monitoring issues, and
responding appropriately to all monitor alarms. Key
Responsibilities /t - /t Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) across
multiple care settings, ensuring proper electrode placement /t /t -
/t Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias
accurately /t /t - /t Identify and escalate significant rhythm
changes promptly /t /t - /t Initiate codes and record cardiac
rhythms during emergency events /t /t - /t Communicate clearly and
effectively with charge nurses, physicians, and team members /t /t
- /t Enter and verify physician orders within the computer system
/t /t - /t Retrieve laboratory results and report critical findings
to the charge nurse /t /t - /t Maintain documentation in accordance
with organizational policies and standards /t /t - /t Safely manage
and operate telemetry and related medical equipment /t /t - /t
Troubleshoot monitoring and equipment issues as needed /t Required
Skills & Experience /t - /t Proficiency with MS Office Suite /t /t
- /t Direct experience working as a Telemetry Technician or Monitor
Technician /t Required Education /t - /t High School Diploma or
equivalent /t Required Certifications & Licensure /t - /t Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart
Association (AHA) or the Red Cross (valid within one year) /t /t -
/t Dysrhythmia Course / Dysrhythmia Certification /t Additional
