Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized role awaits an experienced Cath Lab Technician skilled in cardiac imaging and procedure support. This contract opportunity is based in Toms River, NJ, and emphasizes safety, precision, and patient care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab environment. Key Responsibilities: - Support cardiac services by ensuring safe and effective procedural techniques. - Operate and maintain catheterization lab (CCL) technical equipment, including x-ray and film processing machines, while promptly identifying and addressing any malfunctions or hazards. - Accurately obtain and analyze hemodynamic data during procedures. - Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety while providing education before and after interventions. - Maintain meticulous procedural logs, documentation, and compliance with all identification and consent requirements. - Manage supplies by checking expiration dates, organizing inventory, and ensuring availability of materials to keep turnover times within 15 minutes. - Scrub alongside cardiologists for various invasive procedures such as LHC, RHC, PTCA, Stent placements, and other interventional techniques while adhering to aseptic and universal precautions. - Demonstrate ongoing competency through certification achievements, such as Monitor Technician Certification and Annual Telemetry Review. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Proven expertise in cath lab technology and cardiac imaging. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues effectively. - Strong attention to detail in documentation and patient safety protocols. - Skilled in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures and familiar with cardiologist preferences. - Certification as a Monitor Technician or willingness to obtain it.
