Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient Medical Surgical Unit
at Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is
benefits eligible.ShiftAll ShiftsHours per week24 and 32 hours per
week available.Salary Range$26.00 - $35.87 per hour, depending on
experience.Overview & ResponsibilitiesJoin the United Health

community. We are currently hiring for Full-Time and Part-Time
positions.Acute LPNs are United Health Service's bedside Licensed
Practical Nurses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:
- Providing skilled nursing care tasks and procedures under the
direction of an RN, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist,
physician, or other authorized health care providers in the
Inpatient Specialty Care departments.
- Performs clinical assignments within scope of practice to
maximize patient experience and ensure patient safety.
- Promoted and facilitates the compliance and understanding of
Joint Commission, NYS DOH, Infection Control and all regulatory
standards.
- Under the direction of a provider or RN, educates patient and
family in health promotion and disease management using available
resources.
- Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely
administers medications according to UHS Hospitals Policy.
- Maintains CLIA Waived Lab standards and performs CLIA Waived
Lab testing and proficiency validations according to regulatory
standards. Includes tri-annual AAFP Lab Proficiency testing, lab
quality controls and lab credentialing if required by the
department.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the
healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities, reviews PI
data and assists in the development of Performance Improvement
Plans.
- Participates in educational opportunities.At United Health
