Job Description:
Location: Remote (Ideal candidates sit in New York City or Los
Angeles area to build networking and relationship management
opportunities.)Our global experiential design firm seeks a Director
of Business Development to drive revenue growth by cultivating
client relationships and identifying new project opportunities. In
this role, the Director will partner with marketing to enhance
company awareness and generate future opportunities. Reporting
directly to the President, this key leader will collaborate with
internal stakeholders and external consultants to continuously
expand our book of business and further strengthen our positive
industry reputation.Key responsibilities include:Develops and
implements new business strategies for both outbound and inbound
sales, focusing on client acquisition and project expansion.Manages
existing sales technology and recommends innovative solutions for
integrating new tools into campaigns.Manages and qualifies all
incoming inquiries (press, business, RFPs), informs leadership of
viable prospects, and ensures timely completion of prequalification
and project documentation.Maintains a detailed Excel-based book of
business accessible to senior management.Actively prospects and
cultivates relationships with potential clients, identifies
decision-makers, and leverages the existing network to convert
opportunities.Builds and nurtures productive relationships with key
personnel in assigned client accounts.Actively seeks leads through
RFQ websites, publications, and other resources.Maintains a robust
opportunity pipeline and provides weekly status updates to
leadership.Utilizes design and architectural knowledge to promote
services through various communication methods, including client
meetings and presentations.Meets assigned sales volume and
strategic objectives.Coordinates meetings between clients and
company leaders.Assists in the planning and development of creative
design presentations and proposals tailored to client
needs.Demonstrates and supports company values, standards,
policies, and ethical behavior.Required Experience:5+ years sales
(outbound and inbound)3+ years working in experiential design (or
similar industry)Proven record of building and maintaining business
relationships
