We're hiring a Mechanical Engineer with a strong maintenance background to lead reliability and equipment performance in a high-demand manufacturing environment. What You'll Tackle:

- Manage the mechanical health of mill operations - pumps, fans, presses, dryers, refiners, gearboxes, and more

- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs using vibration, oil, and thermal analysis

- Drive reliability projects, shutdown planning, and capital maintenance initiatives

- Coordinate cross-functionally with production, procurement, and safety

- Supervise contractors and internal teams during overhauls and installations

- Ensure all work meets OSHA, EPA, and industry standards

- Be part of the emergency response team - available for 24/7 on-call support as needed



Who We're Looking For:

- BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) - required

- 10+ years of maintenance leadership in a pulp, paper, or heavy manufacturing plant

- Strong working knowledge of steam systems, high-voltage motors, MCCs, rotating machinery, hydraulics, and pneumatics

- Experienced in root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM/TPM)

- Familiar with CMMS systems and hands-on troubleshooting

- A leader who's comfortable on the floor, not just behind a desk



Bonus Points For:

- Capital project management experience

- Experience in pulp or fiber processing environments

- Maintenance team leadership or training background

- Certifications like CMRP, Six Sigma, or OSHA-30
