What you'll be doing... Verizon is seeking a highly motivated
candidate with broad technical experience to join the Consumer
Innovation team in the Technical Product Development organization
as a Product Engineer. You will play an integral role in
identifying technologies to address customer pain points to
collaborate with the Product Manager to present solutions to
jointly define new product concepts that can be adopted for
commercialization to drive new revenue for Verizon. You will
define, develop and execute on proof of concepts, propose
go-to-market strategies for the concept, define & develop product
roadmap, collaborate with internal team members to drive and manage
product pipeline through the innovation process, collaborate with
cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, nurture external
engagements with various industry partners including entrepreneurs,
start-ups, VCs and present across stakeholders to influence and
drive adoption.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Developing and executing the product roadmap for the Consumer Home
product portfolio, applying design thinking principles and
considering user needs, market trends, and business goals.
Conducting user research, gather customer insights, and identify
emerging technologies/services to propose new product opportunities
that will differentiate Verizon's offerings in the market.
Driving idea generation to commercialization through the New
Product Innovation process to influence stakeholders to adopt the
concept for commercialization. This includes defining and
overseeing external partner evaluation, prototyping, beta trials
etc
Collaborating with Product engineering, design, and other teams to
propose and define product requirements, specifications for new
features and functionalities, ensuring a user-centered and
innovative approach.
Working closely with the design team to create intuitive and
visually appealing user interfaces and experiences, applying design
thinking principles to ensure seamless interactions and delightful
user journeys.
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including
executives, product marketing, developers and external partners, to
drive product success and ensure alignment with business
objectives, while also promoting a collaborative and inclusive
approach to innovation.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and
competitive landscape to drive innovation, infuse design thinking
principles into our product development process, and maintain a
competitive edge in the market.
Leading the specific vertical to represent the team internally and
externally as the technical SME through written communications and
presentations
What we're looking for... You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer or Communications
Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
Strong and diverse technology experience, spanning most layers of
the stack, from "Silicon to Device" to "Cloud to User"
interface.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
8-10 years of experience in product development with a focus on
innovation, proposing design and architecture, designing call
flows, building/validating prototypes, driving products to
commercialization, in the consumer electronics/Home Products
industry - SmartHome Products, Home Security, Aging, Wellness, Home
Network .
Strong technical background and ability to collaborate effectively
with engineering teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven
and design thinking approach to decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for technology, and staying abreast on the latest industry
trends.
Proactive, ability to iterate and fail fast with a self-driven
mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

circumstances.If you are hired into a California, Colorado,
Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work
location, the compensation range for this position is between
$143,000.00 and $302,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule.
The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed
job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based
position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your
compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.Verizon will
