Part-Time School-Based Physical Therapist Location: New Windsor, New York Schedule: 2 Days per Week | Flexible Scheduling | 20252026 School Year A school-based physical therapy position is available for the 20252026 school year in New Windsor, NY. This part-time role focuses on providing direct services to school-aged students in an educational environment, supporting their physical development and functional independence. Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and relevant NYSED/DOE guidelines Assess and evaluate students physical needs; design and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and functional skills Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student progress across settings Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, providing professional input and recommendations Maintain thorough documentation, including progress reporting in accordance with DOE and district requirements Support students in transferring motor skills throughout educational and social environments Qualifications: Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Active New York State Physical Therapy License or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy settings preferred Knowledge of CSE processes and Department of Education requirements is a plus Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills essential Perks and Benefits: Competitive hourly pay starting at $55, commensurate with experience and credentials Flexible part-time schedule accommodating work-life balance Mentorship and clinical support available from licensed professionals This opportunity allows you to impact student lives in a collaborative school setting while maintaining scheduling flexibility.
