Job Description:
Year Up is seeking a dedicated Finance Job Training Instructor
to join our mission in empowering young adults by providing
first-class education and work experience in financial services.
This role involves developing curriculum, delivering engaging
lessons, and guiding students through hands-on experiences in
finance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about financial
education and social justice, leveraging their expertise to
contribute to the financial literacy and career advancement of our
students. Develop and update the finance curriculum to align with
current industry practices and Year Up's educational goals. Conduct
classes, workshops, and seminars in financial topics tailored to
prepare young adults for careers in the finance sector. Evaluate
student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their
learning and development. Coordinate with corporate partners to
facilitate internships and real-world exposure for program
participants. Provide mentorship and career advice to students,
helping them navigate their educational and professional paths.
Strong understanding of financial concepts, markets, and
instruments. Ability to teach complex financial topics in an
understandable and engaging manner. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Experience in curriculum development and
educational planning. Strong organizational and collaborative
skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or similar certification
preferred. Teaching certification in the relevant state or region
is a plus.
