Job Overview The Electric Motor Winder will work to plan and perform a sequence of winding operations under the supervision of a Leadperson or Supervisor in a shop or field environment. Key Job Responsibilities \n Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis. \n Responsibility to prevent damages due to mistakes or carelessness to equipment or materials. \n Use of considerable judgement to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available, and the making of broad decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity. \n Working in a diverse team environment. \n Any other duties as appropriate and required. \n Light physical demand, continuous lifting or moving lightweight materials and working in difficult work positions. \n Concentrated mental and visual attention in laying out or otherwise performing complex work to very close limits of high accuracy and quality; or in coordinating a high degree of manual dexterity with close visual attention for sustained periods. \n Ability to rewind motors with little or no supervision. \n Ability to wind round and shaped wire to form series; interpole, brake and other similar coils. \n Ability to operate multiple coil winding machines. \n Install coils with little to no supervision. \n Ability to create prints and drawings to assist with a standardized process. \n Ability to tear down various motors and armatures and rewind with little to no supervision. \n Ability to operate on banding lathe, stripping lathe and cut off saw. \n Ability to start safely performing more complex testing and diagnosis of electrical apparatus. \n Build and repair field frames with little to no supervision. \n Provide service reports \n \n Qualifications/Requirements \n Ability to interpret and understand complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables and handbook formulas. \n Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments. \n Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a 1 year technical college education, is a plus. \n Over 3 years up to and including 5 years in similar job experience. \n \n Additional Information Company Benefits Komatsu provides an extensive and robust employee benefits package that is designed to enhance the well-being of our employees and family members.
