Job Description Job Description Empowered Staffing is partnered with a growing, regional electrical supply distributor serving commercial contractors, industrial customers, and project-based clients across the NYC metro area. Our team supports fast-moving job sites and high-volume material flow, which makes accurate billing and collections critical to the business. Role Overview: The AR Manager will own the full AR lifecycle from credit applications through invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliations. This role requires someone who is reliable, organized, meticulous, and comfortable communicating with people—from contractor AP teams to internal sales reps to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: Own the full-cycle Accounts Receivable process from credit application through final payment Set up and maintain customer accounts, credit limits, and credit approvals in NetSuite Generate and send customer statements and track outstanding balances Apply daily payments (ACH, checks, wires, and portals) accurately to customer accounts and job invoices Monitor and manage payment portals to ensure invoices are submitted, approved, and paid Proactively contact customer AP teams to collect past-due balances and resolve discrepancies Reconcile accounts, manage credits, and keep AR aging clean and accurate Partner with Inside Sales, AP, and the CFO to resolve billing issues and support month-end close Maintain detailed records across NetSuite and Sage Identify and escalate credit risk, payment delays, and account issues Required Qualifications: 4 years of full-cycle Accounts Receivable experience NetSuite or Sage experience preferred (we are using Netsuite and Sage 100) Experience working in distribution, construction, manufacturing, contractor billing, or related industry preferred Comfortable managing a high-volume of invoices Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism Highly reliable, self-directed, and able to work independently
