Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Construction Cost Engineer to join our AMER Cost
Control team in the Infrastructure & Public Works department. This
role focuses on providing detailed cost management and financial
oversight for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring these
projects are delivered within budget and align with AWS's standards
for sustainability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a
robust knowledge of construction cost planning, financial
forecasting, and risk management to support AWSs expanding
footprint in cloud computing infrastructure. Develop, monitor, and
update the project cost plan to ensure financial health throughout
the project lifecycle. Analyze project specifications to forecast
and prepare accurate budget estimates. Collaborate with project
managers, architects, and contractors to ensure cost-effective
solutions. Implement cost control measures to minimize project
overruns and maintain budget compliance. Prepare detailed financial
reports and forecasts for project stakeholders. Advise on
procurement strategies, contract administration, and expenditure
control. Evaluate and approve changes to project designs and plans
that impact the budget, ensuring cost efficiencies. Expertise in
cost engineering, budget management, and financial forecasting.
Proficient in MS Excel and cost management software such as CostX
or Autodesk Quantity Takeoff. Strong analytical and numerical
skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to
work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Medical Insurance

Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) Project
Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
